July Favourites 2015

Hello,

First of all, HAPPY 100th POST!!!!!
I find it crazy that I've posted 100 times, that's definitely an achievement!
And I have 600 followers! This is all getting crazy now.

Secondly, I can't believe how fast July has gone. It's already nearly August and I'm currently sat here in a Winter jumper wrapped in a blanket *sigh* where's the Summer gone? :( I also would have posted a bit more in July but the internet has been playing up recently, so I'm hoping I can post this post because as always the end of the month means monthly favourites!

*Vitamin C Face Spritz
This was in my June favourites and has also made it to my July favourites. This product is so good. You can really tell the difference when you use this product a lot. It really brightens your complexion.

*Revolution Amazing Volume Mascara
I am so in love with the make up Revolution brand. Last month as you know I tried the awesome lash mascara, so this time I wanted to try the volume mascara. I'm impressed with this mascara as it really does give you volume lashes and it's long lasting to!

*Revolution Iconic 3 Eye Shadow Palette
So I didn't realise I included this in my monthly favourites again. I do actually have another palette that I haven't had a chance to show you, but I've included this palette again because as it hasn't been too hot so I can finally wear eye shadow and not worry that it isn't going to sweat off, and recently I've been wearing the dark pink and gold colours (gold is really nice for a night out) the colours are vibrant and long lasting.

*Good Things Five Minute Facial Mask
I love a good facial mask. I was going through some old products that I have stashed away and need chucking out and I came across this product. I decided to start using it again. I forgot how wonderful it leaves your skin and brightens it up!

*Garnier Hand Cream
I love this hand cream. Whenever my hands feel dry this is my go to hand cream. It's absolutely amazing, it's so moisturising and leaves your hands smelling lovely.

*Models Own Hyper Gel Top Coat
Out of all the top coats that I have purchased I would definitely say that this one is my most favourite. It dries like a gel polish, making your nail polish last longer... wonderful!

*Models Own Turquoise Sea
So I might have purchased another colour from the 'Polish for Tans' collection...Oops! But this colour happens to be my most favourite at the moment. I'm in love with it. I've also had compliments from people saying how beautiful the colour of my nails are, made me happy that people noticed :)

*Revolution Bliss Lipstick
This is my summery lipstick, it's a nice coral colour. At first I wasn't so sure about the colour because it didn't go well with my skin tone back in April, but the Summer sun has done me good! I've fallen in love with this colour.

And those are my July favourites :)

I'm hoping the internet sorts itself out so I can post a lot more in August.
I've also updated to Windows 10 from being on Windows 7! It's so different and I think it may take some time getting used to it, but what are your thoughts on it?
I hope you have a lovely day and I shall see you in my next post,

The Summer Tag

Hello,

In today's post I thought I would do the 'Summer Tag' I've done one of these tags for Winter and I thought I would do the same for the Summer.

What is your favourite nail polish?
Oh I'm really in love with Models Own Mint Icing, Malibu Pink and Pink Wellies colours.

What is your favourite lip colour this Summer?
My favourite lip colour would probably have to be either a nude colour or a pastel pink colour. I really like a nice light colour on the lips in the Summer, makes it look more natural.

What is your favourite Summer accessory?
I have quite a few favourite Summer accessories, but this Summer I am really loving my Ralph Lauren flip flops. They are so comfortable and they don't make that annoying sound that flip flops make when walking and they're pink!

What Summer trends are you most excited about this year?
I'm already loving everything mint and coral this Summer! I wanted to try something different after wearing pretty much black all the time and these two colours stood out most.

What is your favourite Summer time candle?
I'd have to say Yankee Candle's Pink Sands scent. I'm not someone who lights candles during the Summer but on a cold rainy day (typical British weather) I like to light a candle to make it smell like Summer.

What is your favourite body spray and perfume?
My favourite perfume is the DKNY delicious perfume. It has a lovely scent and I wear it out most evenings and I love the pattern around it!

What is the weather like where you live in the Summer?
The typical British weather is always rain. It's even suppose to rain for the next 5 days! But we do get the odd bit of sunshine.

What is your favourite thing about the Summer?
My favourite thing? I love a lot about Summer! You can finally go outside all day, and chill outside in the evening which is so relaxing. I also love seeing the animals that hibernated over Winter come out and it's also nice to see the pretty flowers bloom. Summer is a great season to go to new places and have adventures and take lots of pictures to!

What are your plans for Summer Vacation?
I haven't got any major plans such as going abroad, but I have planned a few trips to new places, going to the theme park, the seaside and even row a boat down the river. Hopefully the weather will be nice to do all these things.

I hope you enjoyed this post. What do you love about Summer? If you do this tag, let me know in the comments below, I would love to read what you love about Summer.
I hope you have a lovely day and I shall see you in my next post,

Summer Palm Tree Nail Art

Hello!

I'm really excited to share this post as I haven't done nail art in a long long time and I'm so happy to be sharing this with you. In my last post I said how excited I was to include some of my new nail colours in some nail art, and tada!

It's a really cute and summery inspired look. You can use any colours of your choice. I actually was inspired by my pjs from Primark to do this design.

So for this design I wanted to use my new Models Own nail polishes because I'm more than obsessed with their polishes now.
I used these colours and tools:

How I achieved this look

1.) I always file my nails and apply hand cream before I start doing anything, but once I had done that I was ready to start painting my nails.
Can we just take a moment to take in the fact that I have a nail polish with my name on it!!! I've always wanted to purchase a nail polish from Jessica due to the fact that it would have my name on it! And when the magazine Red was giving away a nail polish I just had to buy two magazines haha!
I used this nude colour to paint my thumb and ring finger. Once that had dried I used the Models Own Jack Frost nail polish on top as I find it so much easier to remove glitter polish when it's applied to a nude colour or any other base shade. I also love how the Jack Frost glitter comes out, there's no need to do about 7 coats until you are satisfied with the glitter, I did 2 coats and it came out perfectly so this nail polish will not let you down! I painted the rest of my fingers white.

2.) Using the Models Own Malibu Pink and Pink Wellies nail polishes, I used the small angled nail brush to create little palm trees. At first I was going to use a dotting tool but I really would recommend using a nail brush! This was the first time I actually used a nail brush and I prefer using them to a dotting tool. The palm trees were so easy to do!

How to create the palm tree
*Draw a line anywhere on your nail
*Draw 4 smaller lines at the top of the line to create the palm tree.

3.) I actually forgot to include this nail polish in the photo. I used the Models Own Hyper Gel Effect Top Coat to finish my design. I was really blown away when I was shown what this top coat can do. You can apply it to any nail polish and it will dry and give the effect of a gel polish! Fantastic!

And that's how I created this cute, simple and summery nail art design.

I'm definitely going to find more inspiration and do more nail art, I've actually missed doing this on my blog! Have you got any ideas I could try?
I'm near enough nearly at 600 followers! That's crazy! Thank you!!
I've also added a new tab on my blog called 'VOTE' if you could please vote for my cat in the cutest cat competition then I will be forever grateful! Thank you all again!
I hope you have a fantastic day, and I shall see you in my next post,

Summer Colours from Models Own

Hi Everyone,

Summer is always the best time to wear bright nail polishes, and even though it hasn't been as summery as we hoped it's always nice to have a cheerful colour on your nails! So in today's post I thought I'd share with you a few colours that I've been wearing or will be wearing this Summer from Models Own. I've been in love with Models Own ever since I bought my first nail polish, and now I've started to build up a collection.

My Summery Nail Polishes

*Mint Icing
Of course Mint Icing had to be included. I've said many of times that mint is my Summer colour, so I just had to add it to my Summer collection!

*Beach Bag
I've recently just bought this colour. It is part of the 'Polish for Tans' collection and I'm loving how bright the colours are! It's a nice pastel orangey colour. It has an adorable name and I can't wait to wear it!

*Malibu Pink
Another one of my recent buys is this Malibu Pink nail polish that is also part of the 'Polish for Tans'. Pastel pink is always a must for the Summer. It definitely shows your tan more. I'm surprised that a pastel pink can turn out to be so bright!! Just imagine walking down the beach (maybe Malibu beach? haha) with this pretty pink nail polish on. It would be super cute. Get me on a plane now!!

*Sun Hat
It's pretty hard to tell Malibu Pink and Sun Hat apart, but Sun Hat happens to be just the tiniest shade darker and is also in the 'Polish for Tans' collection. I currently have this colour on my toes and it is soo cuteee! I can't wait to include these colours in nail art, I think they will look so good, and lets not forget how cute the names of each nail polish are in the collection!

*Purple Bandana
So as you know I already purchased a nail polish from the 'Festival' collection and as I was so impressed with the colour I thought I would try the Purple Bandana to see if it would do the same, and I can't wait to see what it turns out like. I've never been to a festival before, but hopefully one day I will and I can show off these gorgeous colours as well as nail art!

*Pink Wellies
This colour will never fail to make me smile. It's such a happy colour. It's so bright and definitely a festival colour. I've been sticking gems on my nails with this colour and it's so cute! Do you want to see it? They look so pretty and would definitely look nice on a girly holiday.

I've been loving Models Own a lot recently, maybe even too much haha! They have hundreds of colours to choose from. Choose your favourite here or find them in their Bottleshops or at Superdrug!

All these Summery colours has put me in the mood to do a Summery nail art haha! Once I have inspiration I will give it a go and see what happens!
I hope you have a lovely day and I shall see you in my next post,

July - New Look Clothes Haul

Hey Guys,

It's July! And I haven't posted in the month of July on my blog before. I've also noticed that in the past 3 months the first post is always on the 7th, which I never realised I did.
The hot weather didn't last as long as I thought :( Sometimes it was even too hot to make a post as it managed to reach 37 degrees Celsius! But now it's been raining and has cooled down a lot I can finally post!
I haven't recently done a haul post, the last one I did was back in April, so I now have 2 months worth of things that I have bought so I'm going to have to put them into separate posts otherwise we will be here all day!
So I thought I would share with you a few of the clothes I bought in the last 2 months that are from New Look, because that's where I purchase a lot of my clothes from. I should probably widen my closet horizon!

The one thing I never seem to have in the Summer is something light just to put on when the evenings get cooler so I got a few of those haha

*Floral Kimono
I included this in my OOTD post back in May, which looking back at that now, that's gone really quick! This kimono is really colourful and will definitely make you standout!

*Pineapple Kimono
I think I've made my pineapple obsession known now so I really can't explain this kimono other than it has pineapples on it haha. The floral kimono was the first kimono that I've purchased so purchasing a pineapple one as well made me happy! :)

*Coral/Mint Blouse
So there was 4 colours to choose from... Black, White, Coral or Mint. We already know that Black is completely out of the question (I'm doing really well not buying black clothes for once!) So I tried the White, Mint and Coral. The ones that we like most were the Coral and Mint blouses. It was something different and I've been really loving these colours lately, especially the Mint! Which I've must of said a thousand times in my posts this Summer.

*Peachy Top
Another thing I've been obsessed with this Summer is clothing that have crochet and the bottom! I think it's so cute and makes you feel a lot cooler. They did have a Mint one, but they didn't have my size :( but I do love this peachy colour.

 *Coral/Blue Boyfriend Cardigans
As you can tell by the photos the tags are still on, which means I haven't even worn these yet! These are the sort of items of clothing I lack during the Summer. I normally just have a black cardigan, but I think they've had their day now and it's time for something new. I love the colours and will definitely make an outfit look cute.

*White Crochet Kimono
I couldn't quite name what this was called and the website says kimono, so we'll go with that! The crochet is so pretty and I love how light it is. I wore it on those days where it's sunny but cold? but not too cold. A day where you could wear a pair of shorts with a crop top, but it gets a bit chilly so you could put on this kimono and feel alright. That type of day! haha.

I hope you enjoyed my clothes haul! There's a lot more hauls to come, such as shoes, accessories, you name it! What else would you like to see on my blog?
I hope you have a fantastic day and I shall see you in my next post,
