Although I did start my blog in September 2013 and I only started getting into it this December 2013, I didn't get a chance to actually go full out on this, but I have chosen my favourite products that I have been using this month and other accessories which I have been using! I have also chosen my favourite songs and films of this month as well! So hopefully you can enjoy these as much as I have!

My favourite film this month is Disney Frozen! I had so much fun seeing it. It is a very popular film and everyone seems to want a plush toy of Olaf or Sven so it must be really good!

For music this month I have been listening to one of my music producer from Ireland on YouTube called Orla Gartland. She isn't well known yet but she writes phenomenal songs that are so breath taking! Her latest E.P which she has released is called Roots, it is an E.P of 4 songs such as Roots, Human, Clueless and The Empty Man. Personally all of them are actually my favourite but The Empty Man is absolutely beautiful! I hope she becomes well known with the music she writes, she leaves me speechless sometimes.

What I Got for Christmas 2013

Merry Christmas!

Christmas is finally here!

I hope you are all enjoying your day and I hope you got what you wanted! Christmas is my favourite time of the year and in this post I would like to share with you what I got for Christmas! Though I can't say where they are from but I'm sure they aren't hard to find in shops! I can't wait to do reviews on some of the products or even just tell you about them!

The first thing on Christmas morning I always open my stocking presents! This is where I normally get all the little beauty products of some sort. This year I got the Salon At Home Shampoo and Conditioner Curl definer as I have natural curly hair, so this is ideal for me. I also got the Salon At Home Smooth Wave Taming spray to go with the set. I then also got the Soap and Glory Hand Gel, which I love as I always like to carry a hand gel in my bag where ever I go! I also got the Soap and Glory 'Mist you madly' flirty floral fragrant. I usually use this spray when ever I go to college and it gives a nice smelling fragrance which people have complimented me for, so that's always a bonus!

Stocking Presents

Salon At Home Shampoo and Conditioner
Soap and Glory Hand Gel and Spray

Salon At Home Smooth Waves Taming spray

After I have opened my stocking presents we all head down stairs as a family gathering all the presents together into piles and then we start handing them out. Once the family presents are done we then open the presents from Santa (Haha) This is the more exciting part of Christmas because you receive so many great gifts.

Christmas Tree Presents

Disney's Finding Nemo 'Squirt' mug
I'd just like to grab all of your attention to this mug! It's the cutest mug I have ever seen and it being Squirt from Disney's Finding Nemo just makes it even cuter! I can't wait to have make Nutella hot chocolate in it.

So Snug Socks

The one thing I love getting at Christmas is socks! Now I know that sounds a bit lame but when it comes to winter I just love wearing them around the house or with my boots. They always keep my feet nice and snug! And Christmas pattern socks always look the best.
3 pairs of socks

Nail Art Kit
My next gift is kind of like a nail art kit filled with nail brushes, glitter, glitter confetti and many more bits and pieces! It also came with a little 3D mold of the alphabet which I can't wait to try out. I can't wait to start doing nail art designs with this cute handy set!

Nutella and Nutella 30 best Recipes

If there is one thing you had to know about me it would be the love i have for Nutella! If I could eat it every hour of the day I actually would (Haha) My sister got me a Nutella '30 best recipes' with a really big jar of Nutella. I was so amazed when I opened this present and I seriously can not wait to make some of the 30 recipes in the little book shaped like a Nutella jar! If it is successful I might even share it on my blog!

I was in need of new hair straighteners and to receive the GHD IV was completely beyond me!
I straighten my hair a fair bit as sometimes I prefer my hair to be straight rather than curly.

Benefit Make Up
If anything this present was definitely unexpected! I'm not someone who would usually get Benefit Make Up so this was a shock to me. This little set came with 'The Pore Fessional' which helps minimize the appearance of pores. It also came with 'They're Real' mascara and 'Hoola' powder and not forgetting the 'It's Potent' eye cream. The packaging to this was phenomenal and I still can't believe I got this!

This is what was inside!

Benefit Make Up Set

My sister got me another beautiful present. Everyone in my family knew I pretty much needed a new purse and my sister got me this one! It's in a shade of a really nice blue and it has a gold wasp broach on the button where you open and close the purse. Inside it is white with purple floral's everywhere, it's a really pretty purse and it's so ideal for me!

Fox Jumper

Penguin Jumper

I love anything clothes related and lately I've had an obsession with buying jumpers that have animals on it. My sister got me the Penguin jumper where as Santa got me the Fox jumper which I am currently wearing now and it's so warm and cozy!  I may have to blog all my animal jumpers soon!

Soap and Glory Brow Pencil
I also got a Soap and Glory brow pencil. Though I don't often fill in my eyebrows but I will give this pencil a go and see how successful I am with it. I normally use a dark brown eye shadow as it's easier.

Disney Pjs

Disney Mickey and Friends Pjs

At Christmas I love wearing Christmas pjs! I won't wear them at anytime else just on Christmas Eve night until about the 27th! I got these cute Disney Mickey Mouse and Friends Christmas Pjs and they are so cute and snuggly! But seeing as they are so cute I may have to wear them through January as well! (Haha)

Forever 21 T-shirt

My sister again got me a lovely present! This actually came in a Forever 21 gift box. The reason why I love and laugh at it so much is because I am in fact the shortest person in my friend group! It's like it was made for me and I love it so much!

I hope you all have a lovely Christmas, take care and I hope you stay tuned for more
Many thanks and Merry Christmas,

Christmas Tree and Santa Inspired Nails

Hello guys!

Christmas is only 2 days away! And I've came up with yet another Christmas nail art design! I've been feeling really festive and I just wanted to show it off on my nails. I went with a Christmas Tree design with Santa's coat on my ring finger, but you can do what ever you like with this design. You could paint your nails all with Christmas Tree's or all with Santa's. It's completely up to you!

I think this design looks so cute and Christmassy and it would look even cuter when you are handing out presents to your love ones and they will think how lovely and festive your nails are!

I had so much fun with this design and it didn't take me that long to do and I wanted to share this design with you. I'm not someone who uses professional tools, but I will find ways for people without tools to successfully create this design.

Multi Glitter
Red Glitter

Dotting Tool

Let's Start!

Christmas Tree

* Remove any nail polish you already have on your nails. You can file your nails if you want to, don't worry if you don't file your nails or don't own a nail file, it won't ruin the design!

1.) So firstly you want to start by painting all your nails red and let them dry.
* Don't worry if you get nail polish on your skin, this can always be wiped off with nail polish remover at the end.

2.) For this step I went free hand and just eyed it all but if that's too difficult for you then draw a triangle like the one I did in the Santa Hat nail art only this time use the green nail polish! Once you have your triangle colour them all in.

Santa Hat triangle

3.) Thirdly you want to put the star on top of the tree! You can draw a star if you are confident with drawing it! I just used a green dotting tool and dotted on my stars. If you don't have a dotting tool then a hair grip is always useful for this step.
* If you don't have a gold nail polish yellow works too!

4.) You can do this step in many different ways depending on how you want your tree to look. I used multi glitter for my decorations, giving it a colourful festive sparkle. You can use any type of glitter nail polish if you don't want to use multi glitter. However if you don't want to use glitter you can easily use a dotting tool or hair grip and dot on small decorations in any colour you like, you can even add tinsel! Go wild!

Santa Coat

* This is optional

5.) Paint your ring finger with a glitter nail polish, mine happened to be a red glitter nail polish but any glitter polish will work, but personally I think red or silver glitter looks better.
I already painted my nail with the glitter when I begun the first step to save time, but take time if you need to.
So using the black nail polish you want to create Santa's belt. Draw a line with a dotting tool or hair grip (you can use nail brushes if you have them, I find it easier with a dotting tool than my brush set)

* If you are finding this difficult then keep the tool you are using still in the position you want it and just turn your finger, it will create a neat line. Or you can draw the line free hand.

6.) The last step is adding the buckle of the belt. Using the gold dip your tool into the nail polish and draw a neat square over the black line.
* You can dot 4 dots and join them up, or you can just draw a square if you don't find it difficult.

Once you have done that and everything has dried apply a top coat and you've finished your festive nail look!

I hope you give this a try. If you do please post a photo on instagram with the hashtag #jessinspirednails I'd love to see all your creations!

I hope you all have a lovely Christmas and I shall talk to you all in my next post.
Many thanks,
