Classic Vanilla Cupcakes with Whipped Vanilla Frosting



For any event, these Classic Vanilla Cupcakes with Whipped Vanilla Frosting are the best sweet treat. The cupcakes are light and fluffy, and the vanilla frosting on top is rich and creamy. They're sure to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • For Whipped Vanilla Frosting:
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 3-4 tablespoons heavy cream
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 350F 175C and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners

In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt

Set aside

In another bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy

Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition

Stir in the vanilla extract

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the dry mixture

Mix until just combined

Divide the batter evenly among the cupcake liners, filling each about two-thirds full

Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a cupcake comes out clean

Remove the cupcakes from the oven and allow them to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely

For the Whipped Vanilla Frosting, beat the softened butter until creamy and smooth

Gradually add the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt

Beat until well combined

Add heavy cream, one tablespoon at a time, until the desired consistency is reached

Continue to beat the frosting for 2-3 minutes until light and fluffy

Once the cupcakes are completely cooled, frost them with the Whipped Vanilla Frosting using a piping bag or a spatula

Decorate with sprinkles or any desired toppings
