They're so rich and gooey that they'll make you lose your clothes! They're a rich treat for any event, with layers of chocolate, caramel, and pecans.
Ingredients:
- 1 box German chocolate cake mix
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1/3 cup evaporated milk
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 14 ounces caramels, unwrapped
- 1/3 cup additional evaporated milk
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F 175 degrees C
In a large bowl, mix together cake mix, chopped pecans, 1/3 cup evaporated milk, and melted butter
Press half of the mixture into the bottom of a greased 9x13 inch baking pan
Bake for 8 minutes
Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips and vanilla over the crust
Drizzle with caramel mixture
Crumble remaining cake mixture over the top and return to the oven for an additional 20 minutes, or until the edges are lightly browned
Allow to cool before cutting into squares
